This just goes to show that sleep CAN be good for your memory.

I was studying for a Physics final last term. In the middle of it all - I accidentally fell asleep. I had convinced myself that it would be perfectly okay for me to study while sitting upright in bed. (this suggestion was no doubt whispered by the devil sitting on my other shoulder).

Normally under such circumstances - I would be in an absolute panic because I slept all through the night and almost up to the test time so that I have precious little time even to make it there.

But somehow - I had studied in my sleep. With all my books piled on top of me and notes scattered around me - I ended up in this very strange dream where all these mathematical formulas were floating around my head in a very intricate dance. Each formula took on a life of it's own and created vivid color after images of what each one meant.

Mechanics formulas were rolling down a hill - converting their potential energy into kinetic energy. Angular momentum formulas raced around in circles on a steeply banked road.

When I woke up - I felt refreshed and oddly well informed.

I got an A on the final.

I had a similar experience last night...

I think I need a vacation...

:-)
