well he is on national tv...stick a tv camera infront of you and see how well you do speaking and feild questions. Chances are that he was just nervous
Thankyou for your response and you do indeed have a valid point however this is one of a breed that I have listened to both on and off TV & radio.
Very few sports personalities actualy have an education.Thats why they take up sports.
Athletes don't train in public speaking.
Are you then suggesting that it is the norm to start every sentance with "YOU KNOW" if you are not trained in public speaking? I have never had any speech training and do not use this term often, so what is the excuse?
Wouldn't it be better to have a player or two that can speak to the media without sounding like some uneducated moron? Between saying "You know...ahhh...it's like...ahhh" and some of them can't say the word "ask" they say axe -
So, you know...ahh... he axed me to...ahhh..tell yous that...ahhh..you know.." etc, etc... they make all that money and sound speak like they just jumped off the turnip truck!
If the public stopped spending all the money to watch them play, they would soon not be getting the big bucks.
What has their earnings got to do with the way that they speak? Have I missed something here?
