There is a sign in my town that reads:

"Lawsuits and Lottery tickets - who really wins?"

That's really true. Most people don't realize that the lotteries are just another way to collect money from taxpayers, without raising taxes. Most also don't realize that lottery money REPLACES what the state had budgeted for education, not enhance that educational fund.
I once worked at a convenient store. A customer ordered from the owner a roll of lottery tickets - $300 worth. He came back the next day with 3 free tickets, and 1 $5.00 ticket. He also ordered a roll for the next week. I felt so sorry that he was that desperate, or that compulsive.

Hey if the person was able to afford it, what's the big deal? At least the money goes for public projects vs. the money private casino's gobble up.

Guess you had the "McJob," eh? You sound like a real winner, nice that you can feel sorry for the loser who bought all the lottery tickets. Maybe you and the rest of the trailer park can take up a collection for him.
